What Are Superfan Points?
Superfan Points are the rewards system on Film.io that measure your activity and engagement. They determine your DAO tier, help you climb project leaderboards, and decide if you qualify for exclusive perks and rewards.
Superfan Points Drive Your DAO Tier
The more Superfan points you earn, the higher your DAO Tier climbs. A higher tier means more staking power and greater influence in the community. You can click the above FAN token and Superfan Points top-nav button to see a more in-depth view.
Superfan Points Move You Up Leaderboards
Every action that earns Superfan Points pushes you up a project’s leaderboard. Your position on the leaderboard shows how much support you’ve given and how engaged you are with the project and also qualifies you for exciting perks.
Superfan Points Qualify You for Perks
When a project is offering perks, your leaderboard rank (determined by Superfan Points) decides whether you qualify. For example:
If 100 perks are available, and your leaderboard rank is 90, you qualify.
If your rank is 101 or higher, you miss out.
Project Superfan Milestones
Each project has Superfan Milestones you can reach based on the Superfan Points you’ve earned for that project. Hitting these milestones rewards you with bonus FGR% (Filmio Governance Rewards) which increases your staking rewards.
Level 1: +2% FGR (requires 50 Superfan Points)
Level 2: +5% FGR (requires 250 Superfan Points)
Level 3: +10% FGR (requires 1000 Superfan Points)
Level 4: +15% FGR (requires 5000 Superfan Points)
Level 5: +20% FGR (requires 25000 Superfan Points)
These milestones celebrate your dedication to a project and give you extra influence and rewards as you climb higher.
How to Earn Superfan Points
Superfan Points are at the heart of Film.io. Every action you take can earn you points, helping you rise through DAO tiers, climb project leaderboards, and qualify for perks. Here’s a guide to all the ways you can earn them.
Follow a Project
Show your interest by following a project and you'll start receiving updates via the newsreel.
Following a project earns 10 Superfan Points.
Stake FAN tokens
Staking your FAN tokens is the ultimate show of support for projects you love. When you stake to a project you believe in its potential a project by staking your FAN tokens.
Staking to a project earns 0.5 Superfan Points for every FAN staked.
Leave a Review
Share your thoughts about a project. Remember, these are real creators with real projects that they have put significant effort into. Keep your reviews civil and constructive and do not create spam reviews.
Each review earns you 200 Superfan Points.
If your account is found to be leaving spam reviews to farm superfan points, you may be banned.
Invite Friends with Referrals
Basic Referral: Earn 0.5 Superfan Points per referral.
Referral with KYC: Earn a massive 2,000 Superfan Points when the user you referred completes KYC.
Referral with FAN Token Buy: Earn 1 point per dollar spent by your referred user.
Referral with Silver DAO Tier: Earn an extra 50 Superfan Points when the user you referred becomes silver DAO Tier..
Engage with Newsreel Posts
Stay active in the communities of the projects you love most and participate in the conversations, whether your leaving a reaction or commenting on someone's post:
Each comment or reaction earns 2 Superfan Points.
With these actions, your points add up fast, boosting your DAO tier, improving your leaderboard position, and unlocking perks.
Where to Track Your Superfan Points
Project-specific Superfan points
These Superfan points determine your leaderboard position and if you qualify for the perks that the participating projects are offering. You can find your project-specific points in a variety of places:
Pro Mode: Within a project page, you can find your project specific points by clicking on "Pro" mode (on desktop) or clicking the 'up' arrow (on mobile).
Fan Dashboard: within the "Superfan performance" section of the fan dashboard, you can track your superfan points across every project you are a superfan on all in one place.
Total Superfan Points determine your DAO Tier
You can always track your total Superfan Points in the top navigation bar, right next to your FAN tokens. These total Superfan points (across all projects) are what your DAO Tier is based on.
