How Do Project Leaderboards Work?
Project leaderboards are where fans compete to show their support for a project. Your rank on a leaderboard reflects your engagement, staking, and overall activity — and it can determine whether you qualify for exclusive Superfan Perks.
How Leaderboards Are Ranked
Every project has its own leaderboard. Your position is based on the Superfan Points you’ve earned from actions like:
Becoming a Superfan
Staking FAN tokens
Referring friends
Engaging with the project’s Newsreel
Why Leaderboards Matter
Your leaderboard rank isn’t just for bragging rights — it’s the key to unlocking rewards. Many perks have limited quantities, and your spot decides if you qualify. For example:
If a project offers 100 perks and you’re ranked 90, you qualify.
If you’re ranked 101 or lower, you don’t.
Competing for the Top
Fans who stake more, refer more, and stay engaged earn more Superfan Points, which push them higher up the leaderboard. Staying active increases your chances of securing perks and recognition.
Leaderboards and Community
Leaderboards also add a fun competitive element to Film.io, encouraging fans to stay active, share projects, and help creators succeed.
