The Film.io mission is to establish a permanent, fan-led entertainment ecosystem. Maintaining a healthy, non-inflationary tokenomics model is essential to this goal. Following a strategic review by the Global Creativity Foundation (GCF), the Fan Governance Reward (FGR) multipliers for DAO Tiers are being adjusted to better reflect the current stage of the platform's growth.
The Need for Sustainability
Previously, the system allowed for up to a 40% FGR for superfans that reached project milestone 5. While effective for early-stage bootstrapping, a 40% annual reward creates significant inflationary pressure on $FAN token reserves. To protect long-term value for all participants and ensure the DAO’s longevity, the protocol is transitioning to a more sustainable reward structure.
Updated FGR Tier Breakdown (Effective Immediately)
The base FGR for all deposits remains at 20% annually. Tiered boosts are now structured as follows:
Project Milestone | Base FGR | Tier Boost | Total Annual FGR |
Milestone 1 | 20% | +1% | 21% |
Milestone 2 | 20% | +2% | 22% |
Milestone 3 | 20% | +3% | 23% |
Milestone 4 | 20% | +4% | 24% |
Milestone 5 | 20% | +5% | 25% |
Long-Term Community Value
Reducing inflationary pressure ensures that the rewards earned by the community carry lasting value. A 20% base reward remains one of the most competitive engagement incentives in the space, and the 25% FGR cap continues to prioritize the most dedicated Superfans on a per project basis.
This update strengthens the foundation for the next chapter of the Film.io revolution.
