What if there is a dispute on the originality of content on Film.io?

The Film.io platform is a DAO, so any disputes that arise internally are resolved with a Film.io dispute ring. Here, the Proof of Originality timestamp is relied upon to validate internal creative ownership. Resolutions from the dispute ring are recorded and attached to the project.

While each creator must independently consult legal counsel to ensure full IP protection, the Film.io VaultLock provides data validation functions to support your Intellectual Property.

Dispute rings will not handle any legal disputes from outside of the platform, as in where an idea originated or similarities to other ideas, but they can offer valuable support. Dispute rings will strictly provide resolutions to internal complaints about when a project was proposed to the platform, and a blockchain entry was created.
