Platform vs. Metamask
All new accounts on Film.io are provided a platform wallet. In crypto terms, this is a custodial wallet, and it will hold your FAN tokens, both awarded and earned.
This means even if you lose the access to data, you can regain access by opening a help desk ticket through our Contact us page.
Your Metamask wallet can be connected to Film.io and used as a simpler Web3 login option, but it will not be able to hold or transfer FAN Tokens while Film.io comes out of public beta. We anticipate allowing FAN Tokens to be transferred to non-custodial wallets like Metamask in the first part of 2023.
